I am back from a month vacation!!

I am back from a long vacation!! Yay!  I was actually in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia visiting family and friends. I had so much fun and it was a great trip for me. It's been a while since I last saw those lovely faces. :)

Anyway, I am going to do a short blog post - just some pictures of the food I ate on the plane. Ha! Ha! Well, a lot of us may find the airline food unappealing, but for some reasons I really loved the meals on Cathay Pacific Airways. :-) Chinese food baby!! And also, it was my first time on Cathay Pacific. I  normally take Malaysia Airlines or Singapore Airlines, but their round trip tickets are sooooo expensive!! They are normally around USD 1,700 to 2 grands so when I found a cheaper alternative, which was Cathay Pacific I just hit the purchase button. ;)  Besides, I wanted to spend my money on other things...like shopping!! :)

Another good thing is...Cathay Pacific Airways is based in Hong Kong. If you are like me, a cosmetic junkie, especially Asian brands, you will find a lot of things to buy at the Hong Kong Airport during a layover. :) I actually spent some times at Scent and Beauty boutique browsing makeup and skincare. I wish I could take some pictures!! Oh well...

NuMe Curling Wand 32 MM

Hello pretty people!! I was away for while!! Gahhh!! Life is soooo busy for me. =/ I am trying to balance everything...and I hope I do it right. LOL. Anyway, I got some free time to spare now and I have to write this important blog post to show my appreciation. :)

I actually won a blog giveaway (Thank you Mie @NoBeautyLimits) and I received this wonderful NuMe Curling Iron plus some other pretty stuff! What an amazing feeling because I love hair styling tools!! ;) Anyway..here is the picture:

I basically won a $135 NuMe 32MM Curling Wand that comes with a heat resistant glove, a set of feather extensions and feather extension starter kit. How cool is that?? I haven't tried their feather extensions yet, but I will soon. :)

So, I've been playing around with this curling wand and I really, really love it. :) To be honest, I would normally prefer a traditional clip-curling iron (Versus clip-less / wand) because it's easier to use where I don't need to wear a glove and twirl my hair around the wand you know...However, I kinda like this NuMe curling wand now because unlike any other curling wand I've tried, NuMe is very lightweight, easy to use, and it heats up real fast. It actually beats my favorite BaByliss Pro. So wearing a heat resistant glove and twirling my hair around the iron are no longer my biggest issues! Thank god! So I get to curl my hair so fast..so easy, and the curls stay for hours!

Well, it took me literally 5 minutes to get this result. I was a bit busy at the time so I did not spend more than 15 minutes (like usual) to style my hair and my hair still looked full and voluminous. :) The waves/curls stayed like this from early in the morning till late at night without any help from hair spray/gel. I am quite happy with NuMe Curling Wand so I highly recommend you guys to give it a try...

Is EOS Max Pure Brown lens comfortable? Yes. I tested them and wore them for 4 hours as usual. I did not have any problem. But again, it's different for everyone.

I feel the color is quite natural. It does enlarge my eyes. My eyes are quite big and sparkly in person, according to my boyfriend who can be the world worst critic ;). He said I still look like me, only with big sparkly eyes. He thought they are pretty. Ha! Ha! If you prefer a natural color, I would suggest you to try Max Pure Brown.

Michelle Phan...She's So Inspiring

I have to admit..I've been slacking..have lost passions in what I love most..Blogging! I have stayed away from my computer for quite a while. I have many pending posts...many pictures that need to be uploaded. *sigh* I just need to find some times to do all that. And you know, I haven't browsed YouTube for months, and when I did today, I saw this video by Michelle Phan....

I think she's amazing and so inspiring... and she's really good at what she's doing! No wonder she's the number one Beauty Guru on YouTube. I know some of you probably have heard about her already or have watched her videos, but for the fist time I find myself browsing old videos of her on YouTube! ha! ha! Hi Everyone. Sorry havent been active for quite a while. I was actually on a vacation, but now I am back with more stuff to post. Yay!

This color looks natural in real life and I really love how the color blends with my skin tone. ^_~ At least I don't look like an alien haha. Well, I like to keep it natural when it comes to color /circle lenses.

Another thing, I have naturally big eyes and most circle lenses don't look that great on me. I mean, they suppose to make my eyes look larger right? But most of them don't and they are actually smaller than my eyes! This one actually a perfect fit! I was wearing them for 4 hours last night and I did not have any problem, what-so-ever so thumbs up! Again, everyone's different...

My current obsession - Sam Edelman Wedges

When I first saw these pair of sky high wedges on InstaGram, I seriously fell in love...hard! So I went to the local Nordstrom to buy the shoes, but unfortunately they were out of stock. I was crushed! The sales assistant said the shoes were a special edition - part of the Holiday 2011 collection. Whatever. I didn't really care. All I wanted was the shoes. Fortunately, he was quite helpful. He checked Nordstrom.com for me and it showed that the store still had some...at least a few pairs left. So he took my order bla bla bla.. he said within 5 days I would get my shoes. Low and behold, on the fifth day, I got a shocking email from Nordstrom. My order was cancelled! The email stated that the shoes were no longer available. They even removed the shoes from the website. Even SamEdelman.com did not have them anymore. I was so upset. I really wanted the shoes. So I went to Twitter and tweeted Nordstrom, asking: "why this thing always happen? Why my order was cancelled, again? This wasn't the first time!". Well, I got a reply from a CS asking if I could provide him with more info through a Direct Message. So I did. He said he would check the availability for me. Half an hour later, I got a phone call. I was so excited when the CS (His name is Michael by the way!) said there's one Nordstrom somewhere in Texas still had one pair left and the sales assistant from there would be calling me soon. So I waited...and waited...but no phone call. =/ I ended up bugging the CS on Twitter again asking him to call the Texas store for me. He did, twice! He promised that someone would be calling me soon. I guess the store was really busy. Finally, at the end of the evening, I got a phone call from Texas! Yay! The sales person took my credit card info and processed my order. :) I was soooo happy! I give Nordstrom Customer Service (Twitter especially) an A ++++++. Great customer service! Anyway, here are the shoes!! They arrived within 3 days. :) And yes, I am seriously in love with them. They are so cute, and sexy! ;)

Hana Flat Iron Review

I was sent a flat iron by Misikko for review. The packaging came so cute and I almost didn't wanna take it out from the box ;).  Anyway, this flat iron is by Hana and you can check out the product here: Hana Professional Flat Iron.

I just wanna keep this review quite simple. All I can say is that I love, love, love it!. Although it's only 1", Hana flat iron does wonder to my hair.

Hair Before:

Towel dried, unruly hair. Well, I think most of you know I have curly/wavy hair. I normally flat iron my hair, and if I got tired of flat ironing my hair, I would treat my hair with either Japanese Rebonding or a Brazilian Blow out.

Hair After:

Silky smooth, straight hair!

My Hana Flat Iron Review:

Q: How long did it take to heat up the iron?:

I let it stand for 2 minutes before I began using it.

Q: Does it come with a dial-button adjustable heat?:

Yes, it does. Adjustable Heat 140-450° F.  I used 400°F for my hair type.

Q: How long did it take to flat iron my hair?

15 minutes because my hair is super long, thick and curly/wavy.

Q: How did it feel when I was done with the whole process?

My hair was super smooth, straight and it stayed straight for 2 days.

Q: So how would I rate this flat iron?

5 stars! I am very picky when it comes to hair styling tool, and I personally think this is one of the best.

Misikko also was nice enough to send me a sample of Hana Shine Shield Thermal Protectant serum that also can be used as a leave in conditioner. More info can be found HERE. I love the serum because it's not greasy and it makes my hair smooth and shiny. I highly recommend it. It's quite pricey though, but a little goes a long way. Protecting your hair from heat damage is super important and if you don't have any heat tamer product, I suggest you get one. There are many brands that are available at Target or any beauty supple.
