MAC Fluidline Gel Liner vs. Sephora Waterproof Smokey Cream Liner.

I love wearing eyeliner, and I have been wearing it since my early teenage years. Most of my eyeliners are pencils but, I prefer to use a gel liner when I want that dramatic intense look.

Gel and pencils eyeliners are so different so for someone who loves eyeliners, she has to try everything there is in the market. I have MAC Fluidline (which of course every girl I know has it), and Sephora gel liner that I bought not too long ago and quite frankly I don't see any difference at all. I have been using MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack for years and I just want to give another brand a shot you know. I thought this Sephora brand would be a great replacement.Of course it's cheaper too.

And just so you know, I went from Bobbi Brown Gel Liner in Black Ink ($21) to MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack ($15) to Sephora Waterproof Smokey Cream Liner in Must Have ($10). Am I downgrading? Not really. I just love trying different brands. At the end of the day, if I liked something, I'd keep it! Just like a relationship. :)

MAC Fluidline Blacktrack (left) and Sephora Must Have (right)

What I look for in a gel liner:
  • Silky/Soft Finish
  • Water Resistant
  • Long Wearing
  • Does not smear
  • Smudge-Proof
  • Matte Black
  • Intense Color
  • Not overpriced! And not cheap either!

Based on my experience, MAC Fluidline and Sephora Waterproof Smokey Cream Liner (wow long name!) are about the same except the "smudge-proof" part. MAC IS smudge-proof while Sephora is not. With $5 more, you can get that with MAC. However, Sephora gel liner is so long wearing that it stays on my eyelid from 8 a.m until 12 midnight. I am happy with both even though Sephora is NOT smudge-proof. But hey, as long as I don't rub my eyes with my fingers, that eyeliner will still be there until I remove it. But if you are the type that rub your eyes constantly or want some kind of assurance, I suggest you get MAC Fluidline. :)

Well, this is me wearing Sephora Cream Liner in Must Have. I took this picture for my InstaGram album about 2 days ago? I didn't wear anything else except Sephora Must Have.

PS:- If you have an InstaGram app., add me up! :) User Name: msRinz

So MAC Fluidline or Sephora Cream Liner?
Well, the choice is yours darling!
I don't really care as long as it stays!

StillGlamorus Mythology Eyeliner and True Love Lipstick

As promised in my previous post, here are some simple looks I did with StillGlamorus Mythology eyeliner. :)

StillGlamorus Mythology Eyeliner (Flash/bathroom lighting)

StillGlamorus Mythology Eyeliner (Without Flash-Natural Lighting)

Well, I am in love with the color. It's bronzey and sparkly, and it gives that natural smokey-eye that is not overdone. Don't get me wrong-- I love the killer, over the top smokey-eye look, but if I want to go the beach during the day, I wouldn't want to roam around with "black-out" eyes. At night, maybe. :)

Well, just so you know, besides Mythology, I also used MAC Soft Brown in the crease and along the lower lash line with lots of mascara. However, in the first picture, I rimmed (tightline and waterline) my eyes with MAC Smolder for more intense look. I love the contrast between the bronze and the black colors. Very pretty! Now the most important question is: How long this one stays on my super oily lids? Quite a while! Possibly about 6 hours, then I got to touch up! So yes, this StillGlamorus Mythology is definitely a keeper. Love the color and its performance.

StillGlamorus True Love Lipstick

And this is the lipstick from the same brand called True Love. I really love the natural/nude lips, so this lipstick is a must have! It's a cream lipstick so it last longer on my lips. Yay!

Now the price....hmmm. The lipstick costs me $10.00 and the eyeliner is $9.00. Shipping is about $5, I believe, or maybe less depending on how many items you buy.

Are they expensive for an Indie brand? Well, it also depends on what you think is expensive. I personally think they are affordable. These products are not stamped with "StillGlamorus" brand (yet). Maybe because they are still brand new company? I am not sure, but I don't mind it. I know I love "designer brands cosmetics" and Sephora stuff (who doesnt?) because of their qualities and names (Ahem!), but you know, these Indie brand products have exceeded my expectations. I am quite happy with the purchase and will definitely be buying some more later.

Well, that's all for now. If you guys are interested to learn more about the brand, you guys can check this link out: http://stillglamorus.com/

My New Favorite Eyeliners - EOTN

EOTN: MAC Soft Brown Matte on a crease, eyeliners, lashes & Mascara

I think I might have found my holy grail eyeliners! Nope, it's not from MAC, or MUFE, or Stila, or Urban Decay. I have all those and I really love them; however, they fade away after few hours, even if they are smudge/water proof eyeliners. If I do a lot of touch ups, they can last up to 8-9 hours.

I have super oily skin so a perfect eyeliner would be something that is:
  • waterproof
  • smudge proof
  • stays on forever (yeah, as if) - from 8 A.M today to 8 A.M tomorrow morning perhaps?
  • and with an intense color.
Well, that is my ideal eyeliner. Also, I have sensitive eyes, and finding one great eyeliner can be quite frustrating. I can definitely say that I have tried every brand out there, and none of them could be compared to these two eyeliners that I bought a few days ago.
Do you want to know the brand ? :) It is something that I've never thought I would try. Ha!Ha! But yes, I did give it a chance, and I am glad I did. The product is amazing!

It's AVON Glimmersticks Waterproof Eyeliner. Up to 12-hour wear, retractable, self-sharpening. I bought them from this Avon lady at work, and they were like $7 each. I decided to give Avon a try after reading its catalog. I got them in 2 colors: Brown Chocolate and Blackest Night. The brown is truly dark brown and the Blackest Night is one of the blackest blacks I've seen. Very intense. I love the colors. I wore these two yesterday (see my EOTN above) from 8 A.M (on June 10th) until 10 A.M. today. Yes, I slept with my makeup on because I was so tired, so don't copy that. It's a bad habit of mine. But guess what? The eyeliner did stay for over 12 hours with no smudging, no fading - nothing! Of course this morning I woke up with slightly messy eyes but who cares? My boyfriend thought it was sexy. Ha! Ha! Well, the point is that the product did stay for over 12 hours period. Just so you know, when I got home around 2 am this morning, my eyeliner was still as fresh as it was on Friday morning. So, I am quite please with its performance. Eyeliner is my thing - I need one that stays on forever and ever. :) Well, I guess I have found it. I will definitely repurchase!

So where can you find AVON? I guess Avon.com, unless you know someone who sells them. I personally am not into direct selling products because the reps can be so pushy, but I am lucky that there is this nice lady at work who sells Avon and she's not pushy at all!  :)

Happy Saturday everyone!

How Do You Wear An Eyeliner?

Hello Ladies,

Happy Sunday! I finally got some break from school. I got way too much work this week and I don't think I'll get to celebrate the Valentine's Day the way I would want it. I can't escape to anywhere special since work and school have officially taken over my life!

Well, enough of that. I am actually getting ready to go somewhere, so I might as well post this image!
I am sure everyone has her own style in lining their gorgeous eyes. :) This is my style and I am using NYC Liquid Eyeliner in Pearlized Black, and Sonia Kashuk Demi Lash Set (Half Lashes). I normally "wing it" at the end to get that slight cat-eye look.

Review: NYC Liquid Eyeliner in Pearlized Black

Well, I find this one is quite different than the old packaging. Old style was horrible. It was messy and runny. This is supposed to be an improved version of the old one, which has met my expectation. The price is less than $5; I am pretty sure it is around $2.50 or $3, but I can't remember. :) The price is great and the staying power is even greater. YAY. This time, the liquid runs smooth, not runny and very black! I am very picky when it comes to eyeliner. It has nothing to do with prices and brands. Mostly about staying power, the intensity of the color and its consistency. Those 3 are what I am looking for in an eyeliner. If the product has all that, then I am good. :) NYC Liquid Eyeliner is now my go to product. You guys should try it!

Review: Sonia Kashuk Demi Lash Set with Glue

First of all, the glue that comes with the lashes can't replace my Duo Eyelash Adhesive that I have been using for the past 5 years! Yes, it does a descent job at keeping the false lash sticks to my lid/lashes, and it does keep my false lashes on for at least 4-5 hours ( I guess because I have oily lids?). But, I want the whole day to night kinda glue, and Duo is great for that.  I'd say this is my "after hour" glue since it's so tiny, and you can just throw it into your makeup bag and apply the lash after work right before you hit the bar with the girls. :)

Now the lashes are great. It might not be "natural" like Ardell / MAC lashes, but it's not too bad at all. They don't feel heavy on the lid and don't look plastic at all. I am actually quite happy with this brand. A little bit expensive that Ardell or Andrea. I paid about $5.50 at Target. Overall, I am satisfied with the product. The casing is very convenient. The best part is that you can use this lashes again and again and again since it's not made from natural hair. :)

30 Day Challenge - Day 1 : Favorite Eyeliner

I got too many eyeliners and I love them all. I am an eyeliner girl because I always line my eyes no matter what the occasion is. :) When you do it right, you won't look like a raccoon! :) That's what I always try to avoid since I have oily eyelids. Everything smears within hours! Well, Since I can't choose what I like the most from my collection, I decided to post only 3 items that I love the most!

MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack, MAC Kohl in Smolder and Urban Decay 24 in Zero.

Well, MAC Fluidline stays on my lids no matter what - from one morning to another. Smolder on the other hand, gives the blackest color one could imagine (unless there's one that i don't know of?) and Zero stays put, but less intense. So Zero is safer for work place and the other two I normally use for clubbing or outing. :)

So, what is your favorite eyeliner??

XOXO,

♥♥ Rinz

Review: Urban Decay 24/7 Zero Eyeliner and Skyscraper Mascara

Hi Everyone! :)

I hope you guys had a great Christmas holiday! New year is around the corner, and I bet everyone can't wait to party!! :) I know I'll be heading somewhere to dance , dance, dance!

Anyway back to the topic, I would like to talk about Urban Decay 24/7 Zero Eyeliner and SkyScraper Mascara. I got them before Christmas actually (picture below), and finally I got a chance to try them out! :)

In my opinion, both of these items are wonderful and amazing. Zero stays on for over 8 hours! It does not smudge at all. YAY! I have an oily skin and no eyeliner stays put  unless I put a great primer on. I have 3 favorites: NYX, Urban Decay Primer Potion and Too Faced Shadow Insurance. So, without using any of these primers, Zero stayed on from 7.30 a.m. to 6.00 pm. Awesome! I am happy with Urban Decay Zero eyeliner. Skyscraper mascara is not that bad either. It does a wonderful job at lifting and curling my lashes. However, YSL Faux Cil is still my favorite but I don't mind repurchase any of these 2 items.

Zero eyeliner but without Skyscraper mascara:

I changed the color of the eyeshadows, and I had Zero eyeliner and Skyscraper Multi Benefit Mascara:

And of course if I want to hit the town, I prefer my Sherani Lashes and MAC Fluidline for more drama!
